Mirrorlane Terms of Use
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Mirrorlane: the website at mirrorlane.io, the trading terminal at app.mirrorlane.io, its charts, order tools, analytics, and related features, and the documentation at docs.mirrorlane.io (together, the “Service”).
In these Terms, “Mirrorlane,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Service and the people operating it, and “you” means a person who accesses or uses it.
By agreeing at sign-up, connecting a wallet, or using any part of the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
IMPORTANT RISK NOTICE: Trading digital assets, particularly leveraged perpetual contracts, involves substantial risk. You can lose some or all of the funds you trade with. Price moves, liquidation, slippage, network delays, technical faults, and other events can make outcomes differ from what you expect. Use the Service only if you understand and can bear these risks.
1. About Mirrorlane
Mirrorlane is a non-custodial trading interface for Lighter, a zero-knowledge rollup exchange for perpetual futures and spot markets. It runs in your browser and sends your instructions directly to Lighter.
Mirrorlane is built and run independently of Lighter. It uses Lighter’s public API and partner program, but Lighter does not operate or endorse it. Lighter’s Terms of Service (lighter.xyz/terms) also apply whenever you use Lighter through Mirrorlane. References to other products and services are for identification only.
2. Who May Use the Service
You may use the Service only if:
- You are at least 18 years old, or have reached the age of legal majority where you live, whichever is higher.
- You are legally permitted to use it, and to trade the relevant digital assets, where you live and where you access it.
- You are not located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction that Lighter restricts in its Terms of Service (such as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom), and you are not a person subject to sanctions.
- Your use does not break any law, regulation, sanctions rule, or third-party terms that apply to you.
From a restricted jurisdiction, Mirrorlane opens in read-only mode: you can view information, but you cannot register a trading key or place orders. You are responsible for checking that your use of Mirrorlane is lawful where you are. We may restrict or end access where needed for legal, security, or operational reasons.
3. What the Service Does
Mirrorlane offers market data, charts, order entry and order management, account and portfolio views, analytics of your own trading, deposit, withdrawal, and transfer screens, and related tools for your Lighter account. Features may be added, changed, restricted, or removed, and we do not promise that any feature will stay available or run without interruption.
Some advanced orders (Chase Limit, Iceberg, and Advanced TWAP) run in your browser as strategies. A strategy acts only while Mirrorlane is open in that browser, and it places nothing while Mirrorlane is closed. Orders a strategy has already placed are ordinary Lighter orders and can stay open after you close Mirrorlane.
Alerts work the same way: Mirrorlane watches your alerts only while it is open in a browser tab, and it can’t tell you anything while it is closed.
Mirrorlane is a software interface. You remain responsible for understanding Lighter, the products you trade, and the instructions you give.
4. Your Funds Stay in Your Lighter Account
Mirrorlane never holds or controls your funds. They sit in your Lighter account, under Lighter’s protocol and its Ethereum contract. Mirrorlane cannot reverse, cancel, or recover a transaction once Lighter has accepted it.
A secure withdrawal goes only to the wallet that owns the account. You can always reach your account through Lighter’s own app, even when Mirrorlane is unavailable.
5. Trading on Lighter
Lighter executes the orders you submit through Mirrorlane. Lighter decides whether and how an order is accepted, matched, cancelled, or settled, and its own rules apply, including those on margin, liquidation, auto-deleveraging, funding, market hours, and price limits.
You acknowledge that:
- Prices, balances, positions, order status, funding, and other information shown in Mirrorlane can be delayed, incomplete, or different from what Lighter records.
- An order can be rejected, delayed, partly filled, filled at a different price, or stay open longer than you expect.
- A cancellation can take effect late or fail.
- Network congestion, rate limits, maintenance, outages, latency, and software faults can affect how your orders are handled.
- The order state Mirrorlane shows can briefly differ from Lighter’s final record.
Check important orders, positions, and balances against Lighter. Do not treat Mirrorlane as the only record of a transaction.
6. Trading Risks and Your Responsibility
You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and for the risks of the assets, contracts, strategies, and orders you choose.
Digital-asset trading can involve extreme volatility, leverage, margin requirements, liquidation, funding payments, slippage, gaps in liquidity, spreads, fees, technical failure, and protocol or counterparty risk. Leveraged trading can cause rapid losses, including the loss of all the funds committed to a position.
You understand that:
- Lighter can liquidate or deleverage a position whether or not Mirrorlane is open or working.
- Stop-loss, take-profit, limit, and other orders may not execute at the time or price you expect, or at all.
- Strategies place nothing while Mirrorlane is closed, and a lost connection or a closed tab can leave one partly done.
- Past performance, charts, statistics, and analytics do not guarantee future results.
- You should not trade with funds you cannot afford to lose.
- You must check an order’s market, side, size, price, leverage, and account before you submit it.
- Order hotkeys and click trade, once you turn them on, can send an order with a single key press or click.
Get independent financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice where appropriate.
7. No Financial, Legal, or Tax Advice
Mirrorlane does not provide investment, financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. What the Service shows is information and software functionality, not a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any asset or contract.
Analytics, indicators, comparisons, alerts, and summaries do not guarantee accuracy or any trading result. You make your own decisions and judge whether a transaction suits you.
8. Your Wallet, Your Trading Key, and Account Security
Mirrorlane connects to your wallet and creates a trading key for your Lighter account.
- Your wallet signs only the actions that need it: registering or revoking a trading key, approving Mirrorlane’s trading fee, transfers to another person’s account, fast withdrawals, and the Ethereum transactions of a wallet deposit.
- Your trading key is made in your browser and registered with Lighter by your wallet’s signature. It never leaves your device, and Mirrorlane’s servers never receive it. With Remember me on, it is stored on that device, encrypted; with Remember me off, it lasts one session.
- What the key can do: place, change, and cancel orders; change leverage, margin, and account settings on Lighter; move funds between your own accounts; and make secure withdrawals, which go only to the wallet that owns the account. It cannot send funds to anyone else.
You agree to:
- Connect only wallets and accounts that you own or are authorized to use.
- Read what your wallet asks you to sign before you sign it.
- Never enter a seed phrase or a wallet private key into Mirrorlane. Mirrorlane never asks for them.
- Keep your devices, browser, and wallet secure, and turn Remember me off on a device other people use.
- Revoke a trading key you no longer use, or one you think is exposed, in Mirrorlane’s API keys or in Lighter’s app.
- Tell us through the contact in section 21 about a suspected vulnerability or unauthorized activity.
Anyone who can use your browser on an unlocked device while a key is remembered can trade with that key. Your responsibility for protecting your wallet and your Lighter account continues while you use Mirrorlane.
9. Fees
Using Mirrorlane is free, and there is no subscription. When you trade, you pay one trading fee, shown in Mirrorlane before you trade. It is Lighter’s fee for your account type plus a fee that Mirrorlane receives through Lighter’s partner program, which you approve once with your wallet, up to the maximum and for the period shown in that approval. Lighter charges it on each fill.
Trading through Mirrorlane needs a Plus or Premium Lighter account. An account of another type can still cancel its orders and close its positions here. You can revoke the fee approval at any time; you then cannot place new trades through Mirrorlane until you approve it again.
Other costs, such as Lighter’s fees for fast withdrawals and transfers, network gas, and the costs of bridging a deposit, are set by Lighter or by the network or bridge, and Mirrorlane shows them before you confirm where it can. Fees can change; the fee shown when you confirm applies.
10. Acceptable Use
You must not use the Service to:
- Break any law, regulation, sanctions rule, or third-party terms that apply to you.
- Engage in fraud, market manipulation, unauthorized trading, money laundering, or other unlawful activity.
- Access an account, wallet, key, or information without authorization.
- Interfere with the Service, overload its infrastructure, get around its security or regional controls, or disrupt other users’ access.
- Introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities without authorization, or attempt to compromise systems, accounts, or data.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy protected parts of the Service, except where applicable law permits.
- Misrepresent your identity, your authority, or your relationship with another person or organization.
- Infringe another person’s rights or expose Mirrorlane or its users to avoidable harm.
We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict features or suspend access in response.
11. Information Accuracy
We aim to show useful and timely information, but we do not promise that market data, analytics, charts, indicators, account information, or other content is accurate, complete, current, or fit for your purpose.
Information comes from Lighter and other third parties and can be affected by rate limits, delays, missing data, rounding, assumptions, and technical errors. Mirrorlane works out your portfolio figures and analytics in your browser from the data Lighter returns, so they can differ from Lighter’s own. Check information yourself before relying on it for a financial decision.
12. Availability, Changes, and Suspension
The Service may be changed, interrupted, limited, or unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security concerns, third-party failures, legal requirements, or events beyond our control.
We may suspend or restrict all or part of the Service where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, compliance, preventing misuse, or protecting users. Where practical, we will give notice of significant planned changes or interruptions. We may discontinue the Service or any feature.
You may stop using the Service at any time. To end Mirrorlane’s access to your account, revoke its trading keys and its fee approval; you can do both in Lighter’s app too.
13. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, and original functionality, is owned by or licensed to the people operating Mirrorlane and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are transferred to you.
You may not commercially exploit, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from protected parts of the Service unless you have permission or applicable law allows it.
You retain any rights you have in information or materials that you independently provide, subject to the permissions necessary to operate the Service.
14. Third-Party Services
Mirrorlane works with services it does not control, including Lighter, your wallet provider, Lighter’s deposit bridge (which works with Fun.xyz), and X. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for their availability, security, actions, content, or policies, except where that responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded. A link or integration does not imply endorsement. Review a third party’s terms, and what connecting an account or signing a transaction does, before you do it.
15. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or provider, or the accuracy or completeness of information displayed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties that may otherwise apply to the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, right, or protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the people operating Mirrorlane will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. This includes loss of profits, trading opportunities, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings, where such exclusion is permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses arising from market movements, liquidation, slippage, failed or delayed orders, strategies that stop while Mirrorlane is closed, differences between displayed and actual trading data, third-party outages, blockchain or protocol failures, compromised user devices, unauthorized use of a trading key or wallet, or your trading decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any rights or remedies that applicable law makes mandatory.
17. Your Responsibility for Misuse
You are responsible for losses, claims, and costs to the extent they result from your unlawful use of the Service, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. Nothing in this section requires you to indemnify Mirrorlane for losses caused by conduct for which applicable law prevents that allocation of responsibility.
18. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to the Mirrorlane Privacy Policy at mirrorlane.io/privacy, which explains what information Mirrorlane handles and why. Information recorded on Lighter or a public blockchain may be visible to others, and Mirrorlane cannot delete it.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, or the law, and we will change the “Last updated” date when we do. When a change matters, Mirrorlane asks you to agree again before you place another trade. Where applicable law requires more notice or renewed acceptance, we will provide it. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
20. Disputes and General Provisions
If you have a concern about the Service or these Terms, please contact us first so that the issue can be considered informally.
Any dispute will be handled by a court, tribunal, or other body with jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that applicable law requires to remain available.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permitted. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy describe the general terms governing your use of Mirrorlane, together with any specific terms presented for a particular feature or transaction.
